About Bir

Bir is a village located in the west of the state of Himachal Pradesh in northern India Bir is a noted centre for ecotourism, spiritual studies and meditation. Leisure Activities

Wander through the villages, gardens, and forests to take a taste of the peaceful life of the Himalayas. Stroll through tea gardens and tour the local tea factory to discover how tea is made. Visit the Buddhist temples in the Tibetan Colony or the Shiva temple in Baijnath. Get a natural health tune-up at the Tibetan herbal clinic (Men-Tsee-Khang). Cap off the day relaxing on the garden patio or around the bonfire with kindred spirits .

Proposed Daily Schedule—Yoga retreat india 2018

6am -8.30am Meditation and yoga Start the morning with breath exercises, meditation and asana class.  Receive clear instruction on how and why we do pranayama (breath) and meditation.  These will be held as a workshop style with time for Q&A.  Followed by an invigorating yoga class.
8.30am Breakfast
11.30am philosophy lecture (optional) If your interested in classical indian and buddhist studies you will enjoy this hour session which will be detailed in the sutra’s with simple explanations that you can integrate into everyday.
12.30 -1.30pm Lunch
1.30 – 4.30pm Free Time  You can have ample of time to visit monastery’s, hike, enjoy the town or visit sites nearby.  Or you may choose to walk through the tea fields, read a book and simply enjoy relaxing.
4.30 Enjoy being adjusted  Our adjustments will be like a moving massage that will energise you.  You will feel revived, alive and will want to come back for more.
5.30pm  SomaSlow A wonderful way tho finish you day.  We will take you through a somaslow class with profound techniques that will enable your body to work on its edges and playfully find the pulses to move tension points.
6.30pm Dinner *please note one morning will be organised for paragliding which will be optional and a small cost will incur. Also included in the retreat in a visit to local monasteries.

Accommodation will range from double share with private bathroom to deluxe Single.  All meals, yoga and meditation, lectures are included. Taxi will be included with a specific time and date from Dharmasala Airport to Bir.  Any outside times and dates at your own expense.
