
SomaChi Beginners Course | SomaChi Beginners Series
Thursday & Monday Evenings 7.30 to 8.45 pm
Beginners Courses - 2 classes a week for 4 weeks. Cost $150
Due to our dynamic practice we now recommend this unique beginners course.This yoga course is designed to give you a thorough understanding of the foundations that is essential for flow style classes.
1st Week
Clear instruction given on Pranayama (breath work) Bhanda’s (internal locks for muscle and energy use). This information will be built into the practice of asana (postures)
2nd week
Instruction will be given on how you build a practice that is both fluid and strong. You will learn the first part of the series of SomaChi vinyasa practice whilst getting stronger and more flexible.
3rd week
Learn about Yin and Yang in the practice, and how chi informs the movement of the postures. Adjustments will be given to aid your understanding of the form.
4th week
You will be working further into the series so you will be able to understand and enjoy the sequence. It will also be easier for you to attend an open level and flow class as you will have built the foundations for these classes.

Basic I starts on the 4th February Cost:$40
Learn proper alignment for down dog, chaturanga (low plank) and up dog. Be introduced how and why we roll in particular postures. Learn how to properly move into forward bends and receive instruction to prepare for basic backbends. You will also receive instruction on pranayama (breath) and mantra (sound). The afternoon will finish with light refreshments.
